Swing Dance Classes at Social
Dance Studio, 6:30-9:30
East Coast Swing is at 6:30 and Lindy Hop is at 8:00. Come for some or all, it's
the same price! Only $9 general or $7 for students. Plus, if you take the class,
you get in to Late Night Swing for only $2!!
It's always best to pace yourself - you know how
you learn best, whether it's lots of new information all at once, or a little at
a time. The cost is the same, because you just pay once at the door and stay for
as little or as much as you want! We recommend that if you're NOT ready to work
at a particular level, feel free to sit and watch - but don't bite off more than
you can chew! It ends up actually slowing down your learning process to try to
get too much information in, and it's not fair to others who are truly ready to
work at a more advanced level. (For example, if you still have to think hard
about doing the basic footwork of Lindy Hop, the "Easy Lindy Hop" session will
suit you fine and the "Ambitious East Coast" session is a great for Lindy-prep,
but the "Ambitious Lindy Hop" may have to wait until that basic footwork comes
more naturally.) Most of all, come prepared to have a good time and lots of fun
dancing!!!
6/28 - Late Night Swing with DJ Terry Gardner @ Social Dance Studio, 10:00pm
It's one of the most popular nights of the week! DJ Terry Gardner spins
all your favorites and more! Come out and dance, dance, dance. Lots
of fun including Shim Sham Shimmy, Tranky Doo, birthday dances, jams and the
occasional dance showcase! Don't miss out!

7/7 - First Saturday Swing Dance featuring Talk of the Town Orchestra,
7:30-12:30
This popular band features
musicians from Beasley's Big Band, delivering swingin' music in a smaller combo
size; kind of like a "fun size" candy bar!
TC Swing gets you started with a lesson at 7:30 and the band takes the
stage at 8:30.
Visa/Mastercard accepted.
8/4 - Aerials in the Park Workshop, 11am to 2pm in
It's time again for that favorite of all workshops, aerials in the park!
Terry and Stephanie will teach you how to do fun, flyin' aerials using
timing, technique and safety!
Aerials will include easy to difficult so everyone will be able to accomplish
some great flashy moves for their swing dancing all while enjoying great
