Chris Daniels & The Kings hail from Colorado and have been working together for many years.  They have been specializing in swing, R & B and jump blues since they formed a decade-and-a-half-ago.  This CD, Louie Louie, is a tribute to the music and era of “the three Louies” --- Louis Jordan, Louis Prima and Louis Armstrong.

You're going to enjoy dancing to this energetic CD right from track one, If You’re So Smart, How Come You Ain’t Rich, to the last track, Five Months.  Almost every song will keep you on the dance floor whether you prefer East Coast or Lindy Hop.  Some tunes like All For The Love of Lill and Penthouse In The Basement will be a little fast-paced for some hoppers but others will enjoy the quick tempos.  Even Heel Shaggers will enjoy Azur-Te (Paris Blues) and Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby.

The Kings are tight with the horns and rhythm and keep a steady beat to compliment the vocals of St. Paul native, Chris Daniels.   Daniels’ vocals are smooth and flow quite nicely with the music and don’t overpower the songs.

This is a polished CD from beginning to end.  Even the packaging is slick with it’s brown cardboard look bringing you back to the old days of 78’s.  How could a band go wrong doing covers of “the three Louies?”

Bottom Line: To buy or not to buy…..BUY.  Here’s how:
